Quail Hollow has been around a long time.  This plot of land was part of the original land grant from the 1800s to a Spanish barron of some sort... I'll look up the info... more details to come.

 

The ranch supports about 20 Angus cattle and grows forrage (grasses) for grazing and bailing.  The cattle are on the land mid summer and are moved to another grazing property for the bulk of the year.

With most of the property dedicated to cattle and forrage, we set aside about 5 acres for fruits and veg.  We have old growth olives and pomagrantes with more planting to come... a work in progress.

Quail Hollow is a home surrounded by dirt, tree and a river.  It is a place to play, work on farm projects or do nothing.  We host our families, friends and and their families in the spirit of community.  We throw an occational party, have sleepovers and camping is always a possibility.
